Free climbing
Climbing has a long history in Istria, but it was not until the late 20th century that climbing enthusiasts really began systematically opening and equipping new routes all around the peninsula. With the emergence of new routes, Istria began to attract more and more climbers from all over the world wishing to conquer some of its trickiest routes.
If you happen to be on a climbing trip in Istria, do not miss your chance to explore the varied crags and landscapes of Istrian hinterland inviting you to try all the possible routes.
Besides its natural beauty, Istria offers the possibility of all year round climbing. In spring, autumn or during colder days, you can enjoy in the sun and spend time with your family in Kompanj. If you would like to try more demanding climbing, Pandora climbing site is the right choice for you.
You can enjoy your summer days by the sea or climbing on the Golden Cape, but there is also the Buzetski kanjon, an all year round climbing site which hides many secrets. On colder days you can enjoy in the sun while in summer you can enjoy the seven waterfalls by the Mirna river with several hidden climbing oasis suitable for the whole family.
